The greatest enemies of chicks are crows, also hawks. But some do manage to survive in spite of all odds. The parents usually appear sad when they lose a chick, but they forget it fast and go about laying another set of eggs, after chasing away their young but grown chick. The chick hangs around with its parents for some more time but eventually flies away to start its own family Seemanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4634764830409899124.post-681294077978168422014-08-31T17:43:30.153-07:002014-08-31T17:43:30.153-07:00Comment by Nilesh Patel on FB: "Loved flowing...Comment by Nilesh Patel on FB: "Loved flowing with Nair Sir's Journal spanning across 54 days of courtship, love, birth, child-rearing, struggle to survive, death, urge to perpetuate the cycle of birth and...Also loved Sindhu's profound Poem. Perhaps what we find here is the application of a taxman's acute intelligence, by way of reconnaissance on the activities of some beautiful children of nature.. Brilliant documentation.. ananthanarayanan vaidyanathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11032733919242411913noreply@blogger.com
